Yes some of our models were purchased from CG Traders which had no license stipulations about Second Life. I'm aware that these models may appear on other 3D marketplaces. As a precaution I will be removing these items because I can't be sure that they are available on CG Traders legitimately.

Some of the examples shown obviously have the same models in them. These have been taken down from the marketplace and Flickr, along with all content from the last year because I would rather act with speed to remove and take time to replace our 100% Cheeky Pea made content.

Some of the examples show similar content, in some instances the inspiration has been the model from the 3D trading site. In some instances you can see these are different models and it is apparent because the parts that are different would take more time to modify than to just build the thing.

If you would like to enquire about a specific models I can give you the details on it. I have just recently completed a massive operation to move all of our content history to a new server and cloud storage plan. Around 12 years of content, it wasn't the most fun task.

Two items that are more than just components are a bed which I will find the name of and Saff's Starry Chaise. Helpfully identified here,

Some of the other content such as

Clearly has a different bed and the tent is different. However, some of the additional content in the set has been purchased. For the avoidance of doubt the whole set will be removed.

This example given is clearly a different model. The inspiration was from pinterest. There was also a scandal in regard to it in the past because Cheeky Pea and Trompe L'oiel both made the article in the same month independent of each other. All three models are different.

I hope you will excuse that it has taken a few days to deal with this. I became aware on Thursday morning. I don't work with or for Cheeky Pea since the end of last year as have my own business, the last few weeks I've had to work with another company I contract to all week rather than two days due to summer holidays.

On Thursday evening we posted a statement to let you know that we knew about the problem and were working on it. Apologies that this was not on every form of social media. On Friday we had to put this aside as it was Hannah's 12th birthday. I know for some of you SL is #1 priority but for me it is family.

On Saturday we removed Fickr and Marketplace listings but instead of going through every set forensically we removed everything from the past year. This gives us a chance to review the content and return it once we have verified provenance. We did not do this to hide anything as evidenced by posting the screenshots here.

Today I am going through the store to find out if any of these items are in the in world store. Once I know that this questioned content has been expunged I will communicate this to our in-world group, our facebook and plurk page. I am primarily using Plurk because that is where the the discussion is taking place.

As I said, we will issue refunds to anyone who wants one for the content that has been identified. If anyone has questions about other content then I will be happy to research it and provide models for comparison and file history. Our older archived content does not have the same level of autosaves stored because I remove these to optimise storage.

Also, I would like to reiterate the apology to event organisers who had a 100% original mesh rule for their event. I'm sorry that this has brought the integrity of your events into question. The proportional and appropriate response to this has been that Cheeky Pea will no longer be in some events.

I am of the persons who has their models taken and resold and the woman who created the cow skull is good friend of mine. It has been a journey to be sure to find all of this. The Linden company will hear from both of us. Shame for you.
