With all due respect, I can appreciate the efforts you are exhibiting to rectify the matter. However I do hope that you are still working on combing through a great portion of the items you still have available since some sets seem to still contain components of models from 3d sites. I feel and I'm sure a number of other creators in SL will agree

that your customers deserve to have full knowledge of what they are purchasing. Good luck for the future and I hope to see you continue to try to make good on past mistakes.

Please don't wait for people to come to you with evidence of models that are not being used with permission in SL. I'm fairly certain it is known to you which models those are as these things don't happen by accident. You owe it to your customers, creators, and event owners to be 100% honest.

I'm with Elvi, Juju and Dust Bunny. I appreciate that you finally went with public apology out of Plurk. If you really want to gain your reputation and respect back in the same condition as it's been in the past when we supported your brand you have to put all your cards on the table. You are doing it for customers, yourself and creators community.

Crazychef - okay, you're upset. Refund and keeping the item is a profit for you but that's not good enough. Sincere apology means nothing to you. Her live streaming making new stuff, proving she is going back to her old ways, meaningless. Fine. Stop raging. Step back, figure out what you want from her and just say it. You might be surprised. You might not.

But simply being angry at her and those around her gets you nothing but more angry.

At the end of the day it will be the customers that decide for themselves whether they want to support this store or not. Personally I believe in second chances, but that his just me.

I gotta say with all this aside, the fact that she is doing things to rectify the situation. The one big thing, that I totally respect from her end. Is that she will livestream her work, that says a lot about a person, who has fucked and can admit. To show the customer/fanbase, that she is willing to put forth effort to fix her name.

What was done was unethical and certainly merits some consequences. i am sure the elements that should not have been used can be identified by bringing up receipts that certainly should have been saved as a deductible business expense which can ensure none are missed.

Perhaps those creators can be contacted and offered some share of earnings. In the future, if the pace of work gets too heavy, perhaps they or other contractors can be hired so it's original and compliant. Events don't require Isla actually create the original mesh, just that someone does.

I think the post is reasonable and refund or credit is a great offer to people. I think some people will never be satisfied because their anger is personal. I don't think it is worthwhile to try to appease every angry person.

I think the best thing to do is focus on rebuilding faith with your customers. Fellow creators will be slow to accept your good faith because most people see the SL economy as zero-sum. So if someone buys from you, they won't buy from them. That's not how it works - as you can tell from the photos of people's nail polish and makeup all over plurk.

Anyway, good luck finding all the components that should not have been used...and really, use your receipts, it should be much easier.

While I think it is a good step to offer store credit or L$ refund, I paid a lot more than it would appear to collect a full set of one gacha (faith set) and the pieces I wanted from the Epiphany set. So now I am out the money for the ones I no longer have.

As a consumer having to go to the company with a list of items purchased without having a full listing of what was not original art is trying to sugar coat a bad situation. Only stating 5 models in recent months is also sugar coating the abuse of the system that has been going on for years. Come transparent, come clean and then maybe people can start to

begin to accept your apology. Until then this is just a pr stunt to try and save face and not atone for the theft of services of some great 3d modelers.

Runestar that’s not what’s happening. Thomas is reviewing them all. If there are more than the 5 sets I assume he will add them to the list. It takes time though, and he has a RL job, a business and a family. I’m sure you can appreciate that it needs to be done thoroughly, and therefore can’t be done overnight.

I totally understand real life and wish no ill towards anyone. But this apology as it stands right now is a well worded white washing of the whole affair and doesn't sit well with me and it seems others.

I also wrote on FB - I hope you re also contacting the original small artists who's work you used inappropriately to provide them with the profits they should have gotten from your commercial use.

It is disappointing to support a content creator for literally years because you believe they make original work and appropriately outsource things if they do, and then find out that isn't the case.

BananaBanshee: I trade, gift, or resell extra gacha items for less than I paid for them. I know it's my choice to play, and that is not the responsibility of the creator, but I did it on the faith that the items were original things.
