it's been between 28 - 30 something since we've been gone, apparently

annnd air conditioners aren't common here because summer is usually about 5 minutes and slightly lower temps

but fuck it i'm buying one next year, and saving up for it. because every year it's kind of uncomfortable without one, and i grew up on air conditioners

in a year i can probably save up enough

yeah, it's been about that hot many days here too, and air conditioners are not a thing for the same reason. Fortunately it rained all weekend so it's finally cooled down!

it started raining here on late saturday and it's supposed to rain all week so that should help a little but it also makes things humid

we have 1 single fan in the appartment so I was hoping to pick up just an extra modest table fan to have it in more than one room, but NOPE

I mean I can kind of tolerate it. I worked at a summer camp in Virginia with no AC for a bit, but doing it for an extended period of time is not super fun

So long as you didn't have any scratches or anything you'd be fine, skin is more germproof than people realize. And admittedly I once went swimming in the street at the bottom of the hill I lived on in hurricane season when it flooded. (it rocked)
