Cat has ringworm. Brought it in on Monday and I said, HEY HE HAS RINGWORM. (I worked animal rescue before, I know what ringworm looks like). Said, 'should I isolate the cat from the others?' the staff said naaaaah and gave me liquid miconozale for it
Yesterday vet calls and says yep culture confirms ringworm (NO SHIT), and that he'll have the office staff call into my local pharmacy because the human treatment for it is a lot cheaper than the feline.
I left a call last night asking them to help me figure out if they had the wrong number or something for the pharmacy because ringworm IS contagious as fuck and I think it's already spread to another cat and I really kind of want to start treating it.
And thank god this is just ringworm which is contagious, yes, and gross, yessirree, but it's not anything that's actually fatal. But if you can't handle the easy shit, how the hell am I supposed to trust you if things go really wrong?!
