snow will not hurt your plants but a hard freeze will(well as long as they are not delicate like impatiens)

try putting a sheet of plastic over them to protect them. My garden was flooded out over the weekend

and we are to get down to a hard freeze Tuesday night

They're saying 28 degrees. I only planted onion sets and 2 basil plants, so I should be able to pile up some insulating fluff around them
