i took this one earlier. i like that, despite having gems in the party now, connie is the only one that just leapt forward ready to goddamn go

so connie has an ability called 'study', where she reads a book for a bit and it buffs the damage of her next attack

she also has 'sword storm', one of the most expensive abilities in the game that deals some freakin absurd damage, just a huge barrage of attacks

so i got to what looked like a very tough boss

studied 8 times. had steven play his ukelele to boost her damage even further. had garnet debuff the boss's defense

it didn't even survive halfway through the sword storm flurry

everything after that, including the final hit for 278 damage was complete overkill

connie maheswaran is a goddamn unstoppable beast and i love it
