At the Miracle game. The Miracle are in a tight pennant race with the Charlotte Stone Crabs for the second half Southern Division championship. At the moment they have a half game lead over
the Crabs with for games left to play. Tonight's game against Bradenton is scoreless at the top of the 6th. The Crabs are playing Daytona and the last I heard were behind 4 - 0. Crabs have five games left to play counting tonight
Miracle win, Stone Crabs lose. Miracle now 1.5 games ahead with 3 left to play (and 4 left to play for Charlotte). Unfortunately, the three games for the Miracle are all with Clearwater, which has the best record in the league right now. The four remaining games for Charlotte are all with the Florida Fire Frogs who are the most woebegone team in the
To follow up: The Miracle lost last night (bigly) and the Stone Crabs won both games of their double header yesterday. So, the Crabs and Miracle are tied for first with each team having two games left to play: tonight's and tomorrow's. I'm off for tonight's game.
Miracle lost and Stone Crabs won. Miracle are now 1 game back with the last game tomorrow at noon. They have to win tomorrow and the Crabs have to lose. In that case the Miracle would win the pennant based on the tiebreaker. A Miracle loss or a Crabs won would end the season for them.
Additional update: The Miracle won and the Stone Crabs lost. Thanks to a better head - to - head record, the Miracle win the second half Southern Division championship. There will be a three game playoff against the Palm Beach Cardinals, the first half divisional champion starting on Tuesday in Fort Myers. The remaining two games will be played in
Alanna, you bet! I'll not be attending the two games in Palm Beach, but if the Miracle win the Southern Division championship, I'll also be attending the home AND away games against the winner of the Clearwater/Daytona Northern Division series.
