Honestly I don't understand event owners who say "no copyright infringing" and then allow exact copies of Gucci / Louis Vuitton / Chanel items...

EXACT copies, with logos and all. Those are illegal.

Hmm all designers start off with sketches either on paper or a computer screen. They're all people using their creative imagination.

I do understand that some folks think creativity is somehow "superior" if the product ends up in RL. It's all creativity in the end, the RL "designer" stuff is far too expensive and soaked in elitist snobbery.

RL "designer" handbags/purses are often made in the same factory as the chain store kind. That's called a rip off.

BryonyConstantine: they are stealing RL designs fromf ashion brands and just remaking mesh models of them. I might even be on board if they take the model and then add something theirs, their textures, their logos. But copy the exact same thing is simple plain rip off

Sands: why not, if your work is original and is about fashion , even if virtual, you are always providing your imagination towards the act of drsssing up,. As Briony said down, it all starts from the creative mind. I think the point here is different
