in other words, my nespresso pod restock came today
it perfectly fills my storage trays and it's very satisfying

also, nespresso is offering free sample capsules of two of the new single-origin coffees, and you're only supposed to be able to order one set, but I figured out how to hack the shopping cart and order TWO sets

aww
so you can only add one sample to your cart, but if you leave the page open too long your session expires. except, the page is still open, so you can click to add another one, and instead of saying "nope you've already got one" it will add it to a new shopping cart

if your first cart session was logged in... it saves your logged-in cart. and if you start a new, non-logged-in cart, and then log in, it will add the new cart to the saved cart on your account
so the fact that the log-in session expires but doesn't refresh the page allows you to add a bonus sample to an ephemeral guest cart, which gets added automatically to your account cart when you log in and ignores all the built-in item limits
theoretically I could stack these forever but I figured they'd get suspicious and yank my order if ordered like 10 free samples, lol
oh, and the real trick here is - you have to create a nespresso account to order anything, and the page that lets you add the free samples is after the log-in prompt

that's why the session-expire/no refresh is so important
it's the only way you can add free samples as a "guest"
