so Oriental is considered rude, and now Asian is considered rude, and 'yellow' is both inaccurate and racist, so what is the acceptable term for 'east but not south east or north east Asian + surrounding islands' when either speaking generally or about someone whom you don't know the exact ethnicity or nationality of?
cuz there's Caucasian, white, black, Hispanic, Latino, and middle eastern
and European
but there seems to be nothing anyone can settle on without it becoming gross, insensitive, too generic, or rude for that particular area
