Hands-down the best TF movie we've gotten, and I am including the '86 movie and any 'movie-length' special from the TV shows
I keep seeing pedantic fans complaining about how it's not about the war for Cybertron, and you know what? GOOD.
Something that the last few years of TF media has proven is that the audience is more involved when the war is a backdrop for the characters' stories.
And that's what this is - a character piece.
Overmarketed that the character may be, the film shows why Bumblebee is a hero that resonates and makes the audience care.
And yes, there's a human story in there. Of course there's a human story in there. But it's not dumb, heavy-handed, or keeping the focus off of Bee's story.
And our main human character, Charlie, is easily one of the best human sidekicks in the history of the franchise.
For one, she's leagues above Sam, if only because she treats Bee like a person, not a car or a pet or a bodyguard.
For two.... she's not dumb. She's reckless, sure, but she's not a blathering idiot about it (again, Sam)
And the Decepticons are menacing. These aren't scary monster thugs like the previous movies, these are fleshed-out soldiers and operatives who live up to their faction's name.
I am so glad to hear this

(as a very very very casual fan of Transformers.)
So yeah, even if any (or all) of the previous films have left a bad taste in your mouth, Bumblebee is worth watching. Hell, I actually kind of want to watch it again, in full. Even the best of the other films, I only rewatch certain scenes
lampdevil: Then you might enjoy it even more than I did XD
god it made me so happy and I literally can't wait to see it again, which I HAVE NOT FELT FOR ANY LIVE ACTION IN YEARS
I guess you could call this
Your constant puns would be funnier if you subverted the obvious pun ending with something unexpected, just saying XD
