at what point do you draw the line at RL-SL blends in pictures?

not talking about RL photos as backgrounds which I hate but small things

a bird, a chair, lips, hair, when it stops being a tool to enhance the image and becomes "Prince of Persia"?

tries to do as much as I can in SL and only ps's something in if I can't find it or make it in SL.

noticed a lot of people doing that lately and I don't like it...

however, been guilty of using a ps brush when I thought the pic needed a certain something, like a moth!
Zinc says

exactly, why is a brush of a moth OK and not a pasted RL moth?

doesn't mind real life accents like birds, or a background or whatever, but when you're replacing the eyes, or the lips, or the nose...NO.

didn't say that. If I'd thought of it when I amde the pic, I'd have imported a pic of a moth into sl, slapped it on a prim, and used it

instead. Honestly, I don't know the answer to this. I just know when the picture becomes less about SL and more about FL or PS.

then again, how is that different from all those purists that say all forms of Photoshopping are evil and SL pics should be "untouched"
Zinc says

oh well, it is like pornography, I don't know what constitutes it, I'll know it when I see it
