That is what we see as well. Library space usage is up; book usage is down. But god forbid we move books to make more space. And when we ask if students/faculty want ebooks, so we can use less space, they say yes, but also want print books. So we spend twice for the same material. non-revenue generating unit. We are a drain on the university, even though, as the article pointed out, there's a direct correlation between what we do and student/faculty success. We can't win.
