Well, the reason I ask is that even if you get rec's from someone, a therapist's theoretical background may not match up with what you want out of therapy.

And unfortunately, there is some trial and error with finding a therapist that you may feel comfortable with.

the site i used to look people up did have a way to search by specialty if that's what you mean, it did sort of look like everyone just put a bunch of specialty areas on their profile but it's good to consider that sort of thing too yeah
