Customer of the day: so a lady had to take some things off her order and she was taking a long time, and having trouble getting what her friend explained about what item was costing so much. It looked like the customer behind her was getting impatient and that was making me nervous and impatient, but
after she finished her order the customer behind her bought the milk she had to put back and gave it to her, and when I checked that second customer out she was relaxed and talking about how good the price was on the clothes I was ringing up rather than about the previous customer. I like when people handle negative emotion well. She was nice.
Sometimes people do buy items for strangers who have to put their stuff back and it’s always nice. Especially so from someone who I am pretty sure was impatient and reacted to the situation not by indulging that but by being nice
