I think sometimes people miss that.
The older I get, the more people expect me to behave a certain way and I just won't.
I might not be the best student, but I think I have more intelligence than that.
Also, it is not like I am sunning myself on the field while reading my law books. -_-
Edit: Also, some teachers think I became a law student because I was inspired by TV shows or in some cases Kim Kardashian.
I have never watched How to Get Away with murder and I watched Suits after I decided to become a lawyer, As for Kim, I know nothing about her.
"grown ups" always want things to be "realistic" it seems. To an extent I can get that, but sometimes a message can be strong enough to let people ignore it, or entertaining enough anyway; I have never seen the movie btw
FinalCrosMayCry2 You don't have to watch it. I watched it when I was very young so it had the story-telling I can enjoy.
Sounds like typical sexism in the workplace, tbh.
But I like to give credit where credit is due, and I really do enjoy it. I just can't stand people measuring my intelligence by my interests.
"Oh it's a cute girl, she couldn't possibly be motivated to study here by wanting to know law."
Drosselmeyer Hahaha that is close to home. One of my schoolmates was told "You could have used the time putting on make up studying."
Because don't you know putting on make-up takes all the time in the world.
Like literally sixteen hours.
It's like those prosthetic masks in the Hellboy movies.
They mean well I think, just a bit close-minded in some aspects.
Also, I think they are doing it for our own good. To toughen us up. After all, court will be much worse.
They mean well, but they're also infantilising you based on your habits and gender, which ehhhh.
But hey, at least they didn't wonder if you went into Law over Death Note.
Not gonna lie. That made me laugh. xDDD
