brief: changeling baby abducted from parents at birth, subjected to harsh mana infusion therapy (testing phase, highly unstable)

he is an affectionate and social baby and due to the instability of the testing, scientists need him to be as comfortable as possible. so when he isnt testing, he lives with one of the scientists

she gets paid extra to take care of him but hes just a little noisy science experiment

at first

she gets attached to him over time and after an accident she offers to sit with him in what was considered "protective" gear...it wasn't

shes exposed to the mana around him and winds up succumbing to some madness. enough to be kept away from the baby.

she winds up selling everything she owns to bribe security into letting her in to see the baby, and kidnaps him off of their space station. she is slowly suffering the adverse effects of Mana Infusion

it comes to her in the form of forgetfulness. she lands the ship but can't remember how to start it. she is afraid she'll forget the baby, and begs him in a journal entry to not forget her

the last entry is half coherent. she is forgetting how to write, and the only thing she can remember is the name she gave him.
