i sent in what was estimated at $40 of video games and dvds, and they've been giving me the run around for over 2 weeks now saying that my order number doesn't exist even though 1) i have the original documentation they sent me INCLUDING the order number and, 2) the tracking number THEY PROVIDED ME shows the items as delivered
they keep just telling me my order doesn't exist and closing out my complaint before i'm given time to respond, so i have to start a new one all over again
yeah I was gonna use it a couple years back, and they were gonna pay me like .... 15 cents for a stack of dvds and cds
i am still working on resolving it but i really don't recommend using them. i'd have been better off just donating everything to good will because at least i'd know they were going to benefit someone
yeah the only reason i did it was because it seemed like a reasonable amount of money for what i was sending in
ever since then I've sold my stuff to places like half price books or local secondhand shops, or donated them because l o l
there is a secondhand shop i've taken things too but i guess i thought this was a good deal/more convenient
narrator: it was not a good deal nor was it more convenient
have you considered contacting the BBB?
huh. I sent them an old ipad once and didn't have any problem, but that's literally the only time I've ever used it
kamex: yep, i just sent them another, more terse email and if it's not resolved after that i'm filing with the BBB
corbieclook: it seemed to have good reviews which is why i decided to go for it. i have no idea what the breakdown is here but it's the fact that i keep getting fobbed off that's pissing me off more than anything, tbh
good, good
I’ve used them a few times and never had a problem, that’s real disappointing that they are doing this. I’m def gonna think twice before using them again :/
hmm! I'd never heard about them before this
huh. I think our store has gotten stuff from their ebay store re: video games, and we've never had an issue with them
Actually no, I think we had an issue with like, something super minor, and they were pretty quick to refund or replace. If it's the same folks, anyway
but I realize that our situation is different because we have ways of dealing with scratched/dirty games or defective products
But if you're buying used games, I always recommend going through your local independent game shops. There's a chance they may buy things from stores like these, but if they're good, they should clean and test the stuff they have to buy online and from stores like these
which, I guess is the premium you're paying by going through a store. After all, if they buy something from a disreputable store, find it doesn't work, then a good store should yell at them until they find you something that works.
It may take some time, might cost a little more, but the headache is ours, not yours.
that's completely fair. i usually buy games from reputable dealers (minus one i just bought on ebay) but i didn't know much about selling them which is why i went about it this way :/
