[ witchery ] has anyone here ever been part of a coven or an organized group? i've never had any interest but i found a place near me that looks interesting and is doing a samhain ritual i'm considering going to

i've been solidary practising for going on ten years now but i keep falling in and out of it. i feel like a group might be helpful and more educational than google and doing spells in my bedroom

When I lived in Virginia Beach, I was part of a local community and study though it wasn't a coven. We had public ceremonies and picnics and get togethers and stuff to share knowledge and spell ideas and such.

I miss it a lot, I admit.

but i also don't really know what to expect or if it matters what path i walk (i don't have a specific one, maybe vaugely hellenistic because of my attachment to artemis and aphrodite.)
they seem to be pretty open and encouraging to newcomers, i'm just nervous

Attend the samhain ritual and see? It tends to be the most open one places have and gives you a good general idea with less expectations usually?
