like, she's there for actual pure reasons so that always works in her favor and she's definitely good at it. but she's not superhero style kate beckett who solves crimes with one hand tied around her back and she always needs help, whether it's from lucifer or the rest of her team

and i dig that they made her just normal good at things and the real point is that she enjoys actually doing all of it

also working with lucifer kind of makes her a crappy cop sometimes because she just like. ignores the drug use

but yet sometimes she doesn't need Lucifer's help

usually those times are when he's being a terrible helper

they've solved every case, too. so at least she's got a good close rate
