On one hand, long Meowth memes are pretty good. OTOH, I'm pretty sure GameFreak is doing it on purpose and banking on viralness so people -especially gen1 elitists- like them again. When you take a look at news and can pinpoint the next meme, welp, the internet is predictable 
also, I think they really liked Alolan Exeggutor since there's a lot of "gen 1 poke but something long" in Galar lol

anyway, the gigantamax mechanic is very /shrug/ to me but I genuinely dig all the forms they showed yesterday. I also find a good chunk of new pokes/Galarian forms shown later cute or cool
soooo, I'm not too hyped for the games yet but I do think it looks good

It’s something that imo is hard to care about when we know the mechanic will disappear in a gen or two
And that only special meowth eevee and pika will gigantamax
The designs are neat though and long meowth is hilarious
yea basically... i know its partly for metagame reasons and partly because Shiny New Gimmicks help sell games but im ambivalent on dynamax for the same reason
the designs however are gr8
