i just ask because i don't care for reading fic where hank calls connor honey or baby but I don't have a solid reason for it, so I thought it might make an interesting topic to talk about

For me, I definitely am never a fan unless it's used in a sassy way and not more than twice. But then again, pet names are a pet peeve of mine IRL so /SHRUGS

Yeah, I think for unique and character specific pet names I could make an exception but honey and baby just rub me the wrong way in general

Yeah I make an effort not to be like the people who just call everyone that. So maybe that’s my answer as to why I don’t like that headcanon, i’m biased XD

i think it depends on the pet name - for example I firmly believe Ford calls his grand niece Jellybean, because it has significance to him

I feel like pet names have to be particular to the character; generic pet names just seem performative and disingenuous

That makes sense, like what sounds natural is different for each personality
