So grown up!

Indikon: And yet still such a hellhound. She has matured a lot in the last few weeks. More sensible, better behaved on lead, better with her toilet. Still bouncy though. I think I’ll keep her. 😇😀💕🐾

hybotics: Yup. And today she has been Stroppy Poppy. Luckily she's now asleep at my feet.

I think B and his mini schnauzer friend were 6 & 7 months when they hared off across the park into the middle of someone’s picnic and earned us a lecture on how we really needed to train our dogs!

Oh fab. This one isn't getting off the lead in open spaces any time soon! Her recall is fine only when she wants it to be.
I hope you told the people they need to be trained not to put temptation in the way of animals... Unless they were in a specific picnic area.

hazardwarning: It’s just a general public park. We just collected our puppies (who hadn’t done any real harm) and left. B has a kind of centre of gravity for recall. The trick is to do it before he gets too close to the temptation, but he ran further and faster with another puppy than he would on his own.

Indikon: That sounds familiar. Poppy is the same, there's definitely a threshold, beyond which she won't even listen to her name. Dogs, huh, intriguing and cute.
