That sort of thing is often frustrating on an iPad, I find. I don’t think I’ve tried buying Plurk coins on iOS.

I think I'll have to fire up the Macbook for it. It's one of the subscriptions I want to continue, though I've dropped a lot of others, given I'm not working now...

All the subscriptions start to add up, don’t they? Each one telling you that it’s only the price of a cup of coffee. But I don’t drink cappuccinos all day long!

Oh yes. I supported a lot of independent projects/writers etc because I could afford to, even if I didn't need to. Most have been dumped, apart from necessary ones for much-used apps and a few that I really value (like here). I've also bagged discounted life membership with the RSPB and WWT, which saves me money in the long term. Constant review...

That reminds me, I need to buy some more soon.
