I've been getting more screen-related headaches the past few weeks
my wife has! i have computer-specific prescription lenses so i can't wear non-prescription blue light lenses on top
uniqlo has very inexpensive non-prescription pairs that she likes but i found they aren't very comfortable on my face
I have a coating on my lenses
A guy I knew when I was on the ship got them for wearing on watch and he said they work for screen eye strain pretty well.
I don't wear glasses/contacts so this is 100% just for screen stuff
yeah she said they help to prevent an eye strain migraine
I have them too, they're good
amazon has a bunch of them, if you have prime it might be worth it to try a pair or two. if they don't work for you, you can always return them
i have a coworker who really loves his
okay so they at least work for some people so it's probably worth it to try out
my current job isn't quite as screen intense as my last one but it definitely made a difference in my eye fatigue when I was doing 8+ hours on a computer at a stretch
i have a coating on my regular glasses but i also have a pair of gunnar glasses specifically for that i can use when i'm wearing contacts because i used to get a lot of eye strain specifically from gaming and they made a big difference between feeling definite eye fatigue/eye dryness/just blegh and not being that way
my coworker does say that like, he finds it weird at dusk
because everything is too warmly colored
he says you get used to the color shift after a minute but he still gets disoriented at dusk
For those of you with glasses like me, tablets & phones now should have a warm setting you can change your screens to. For iPhone/Pad I believe it's Night Shift
I still get screen blah sometimes
they absolutely work for me. i ended up needing to get a mild prescription for work anyway, but before i got my coated prescription glasses i wore a pair of plain blue light blockers i got off amazon for like twenty bucks and they really helped ease my headaches.
zenni also has great affordable glasses that you can get blue light blocking coating on, and you can absolutely get them prescription free
I literally bought some of these this past weekend because I stare at screens all day for work and also deal with frequent migraines. I honestly think they help!
These were the ones I got.
my pal got some and he swears by them
i personally have been thinking about it so all the positive recs here are helpful to me also ty
yeah when I get paid tomorrow I'm gonna order a pair
they came:
I have theraspecs and LOVE them
omg alex those are so CUTE
your whole vibe is adorable
the glasses definitely add to my general librarian aesthetic
not just general librarian aesthetic, but now future librarian aesthetic.
