instead of taking all week i already picked mine
2nd level spells is a weird pool
i'm the only full caster in the party so i get to lord my spell levels over people
alex and i are both our party's full casters, though there's also a halfie rogue/sorc
she's the cleric, i'm the bard
we got a bladebound magus, a bard/sorcerer, a carnivalist rogue, and me, the ecclesitheurge with that one level monk dip
until we got the npc barbarian, i was the closest thing to a tank we had
the roughest thing about playing a spellcaster is the con dump
most arcane casters can dump cha instead
sorry about your life, sorcerers and bards
honestly that's one reason i picked bard, i love cha, it's always the one i want to put the most points in
also someone's gotta put their points in all those social skills, and that someone is me
i went hard on wis because obvs, and it's refreshing not to be metagaming when i say "what if we didn't do [incredibly stupid thing]?" when the rogue has an idea
it's my only stat with a +0
i was going to dump str but then encumbrance was an issue
oh oh alex did you know cantrips auto-heighten to your max spell level
i just found out and i'm so excited
daze gets a damage roll hell yeah
anyway i'm gonna multiclass to paladin at level 4
and encumbrance is what ant haul is for
encumbrance is why you get the party in on a bag of holding as soon as financially feasible
anyway the rogue/sorcerer multiclass combo seems really good in pathfinder 2e
you don't lose spell levels for multiclassing, so
i was talking about that with them last night, and the annoying thing is you can only get one spell for each level
other parts of the multiclassing mechanic seem less powerful than multiclassing would be in 3.5 but that one combo
you get pretty few spells per level as a full caster in this edition
for the spellcasting wizard might be better since you could at least swap that one spell each day, though apparently the sorc stats are better
I also don't think that's right
I think you can take feats to get 2 per day
Your repertoire expands, and you can cast more spells of your bloodline’s tradition each day. Increase the number of spells in your repertoire and number of spell slots you gain from sorcerer archetype feats by 1 for each spell level other than your two highest spell levels.
well that'll definitely help
and considering a full caster is only at 3 per level it's not bad
stockpiling pearls of power like a crazy woman
oh anyway
royaltimes you know what also auto-heightens: heal spells
really excited to heal better
so they still take the old spell slot but give bigger heals?
so clerics get a divine font which is 1+CHA special slots at the highest level that can only be used for heal/harm
at some point magical healing will actually outpace medicine
