Allegory: Sanders is the only candidate who has kept his word on his vote his entire career. He stands for the working people. He’s not a flip flopper. His campaign is backed by working people, not corporations or billionaires. Unless a person is a billionaire, I don’t get why anyone would oppose him.

Allegory: But if all you listen to is MSNBC or another mainstream media conglomerate, that would make sense. MSNBC execs backed Biden’s campaign with their own money, then basically gave Biden free, 24/7 campaign advertising with their stories. If you listen to the news it flatters Biden and trashes Sanders.

Allegory: The establishment is doing all it can to suppress Sanders. I hope that anyone who is voting will do their homework, and at least listen to one of Sanders’ speeches. He supports the workers of the world, aka. anyone who has a job and isn’t a billionaire.

i will vote for whoever get the nomination. i have jokingly said i would vote for a stapler AND IT'S NOT ACTUALLY A JOKE for president if it were running against trump. i always vote, and i think it's really important this time. and both biden AND sanders have their own different but very real problems getting people out to vote.

we are at a goddamn cliff at this point. anything is better than a second term of "i can do anything ANYTHING i want now, they couldn't even impeach me" because we won't have even the ghost of a democracy left in 4 years. i won't LOVE the other option, but it's going to be a fuckton of a lot better regardless.

but what i would love is someone who could actually pass medicare for all or steps towards that. someone who would tax the fucking rich. someone who would raise the minimum wage, someone who would get rid of citizens united, someone who would kick the fucking lobbyists out of DC, someone who would actually work towards FIXING the system. i want to like

sanders, and of the two, i do prefer him, i don't don't think he can truly get shit done. i do love some of his ideas, a LOT of his ideas, and think they are great. i just don't see him actually making it work. and that depresses me, because i think some of the other people who ran for it would have had a much better chance.

(and i am even angrier that biden is probably going to be our candidate because i have WAY MORE reasons to dislike him. he still has my vote)

Allegory: I’m not sure about that. Sanders has been on the right side of history his whole voting life. Just look at it.

With the globe needing our attention, wealth inequality at the same, nay, worse levels than the 1930’s, healthcare scams/people dying without access to proper health care, homelessness/no access to affordable housing, a broken food and

look at his record in the senate: he has repeatedly taken support away from bills that would move towards what he wanted by proposing something that was MORE what he wanted to steal the support away- bills that were incapable of getting the republican support to pass. the good bill could have, until he made sure it could not.

that kind of idealism doesn't work when you have to work with other people.

Allegory: agricultural system - plus the dire need for top soil, needing affordable child care, the list goes on.

We got here by compromising. If you look at history, we never got much done by compromising. Whoever gets into office will need the people backing them because regardless of which party wins the house and senate, it will be a battle.

there's no way to get everything done at once. we have a 2 party system, even if the house stays and the senate is flipped, you'll have "middle of the road" democrats who won't vote for things that are too radical. we have to wrestle the party back towards the left after the republicans have gone so far right they've dragged the deomcrats to the middle.

it's a lot harder to find the exact bills now with what the google results are, hahah. but he's put a lot of amendments on things that have killed them. he wants bigger change that can happen, basically- and while i also want bigger change that can happen, if it can't happen, we're still fucked.

i agree we have let things slide for too long, and we. are. fucked. but we're just as fucked if nothing can get anywhere as we are if we don't try.

if sanders can't pick up the votes in the primary, then sanders will not be the candidate. and the primary is looking bad for him. doesn't matter why.

and with a democratic president, house, and senate, some of that voter suppression bullshit has a CHANCE to be overturned. the republicans know that the numbers are not on their side, that if they target certain demographics to remove their vote, they can stay in power. we have fallen so far, we may need to claw our way back up.

i don't want to. i want to set the whole damn thing on FIRE and rise like a phoenix with a system that works for the damn people. but that's probably not going to happen. slow progress is still better than NO progress. it's not exciting or sexy, but 15% is still 15%.

We just need the people who never vote to come out and vote for Sanders. We can get Sanders the nomination.

I totally get and understand your reasoning, but our planet has never seen the likes of where we’re at, our species is at a crossroads, this is the time. All the science points to this, and remember, scientists only report the most conservative estimates so as to leave room for errors.

if sanders doesn't get it, it's biden or trump. full stop. biden is NOT my choice over sanders, at all. but biden IS my choice if the other option is trump. that's it.

Allegory: Bernie’s rally was on a week night. Warren went to Seattle the next week, on a Saturday, and only got 7,000. Much larger town, not a work night, 10,000. Bernie has a huge following that the media is scared of and not covering.

Honestly I used to dislike Sanders re: the “he doesn’t get bills passed” argument, but now I respect that he’s unwilling to compromise his morals and not play politics as a game.

I think watching Obama give in to the GOP for 8 years to the point that he was ineffective and then more recently, shit like Pelosi + house dems signing off on Trump’s batshit military budget has pushed me there.

The billionaires of the world and rich media moguls will not let Sanders (or Warren when she was in) win. Period. They have enough money clout and power to stop it and they will. They won’t let him win because he’s coming for their money (as he should). It’s really that simple. We’re constantly manipulated and fucked with. Anyone thinking otherwise is wrong

I like some of the things Bernie wants, but my way or the highway, means we will go nowhere. We do not live in a dictatorship, much as Trump would like to think. Like it or not we live in a country that has very opposing views. We need someone who is able to bring the country together, not drive us further apart.

Bernie frightens people on the right, and some in the middle, not just the wealthy. Even if we where able to get both the house and the senate, I think he would still have problems, they want to get reelected
