someone else called out sick before I could call out sick and now I get to go to work sick

my boss is gonna be very happy with the manager when I show up croaky and coughing and runny-nosed to meet and greet all the parents for the closing shift mm-hmm

As in T, the manager, was complaining that P, the other teacher, is leaving. and P went "????"
