I’m not pressed about spoilers and yeah I’m still in the first book! But I’m also a cheater so I do know about the end of the book reveal at least.

3. Gen is a thief, so he's drawn to hearts he has to steal. He wants to be the one who climbs the tower and finds the treasure other people haven't seen. He resists the easy & obvious match. But he appreciates quick wit and tasteful jewelry, as well as a pretty face.

4. Like I said, he resists the easy & obvious. He also hates hunting, oily facial hair, drab clothing… there's really a long list of petty Gen hates, probably because being petty is his first and truest love.

Yeaaaaah I can see why it’s impossible to play him without that spoiler. He has no incentive to be that degree of unreliable as a narrator in another setting, for one thing.

I have had a lot of fun with, referencing the books in ways only I will likely understand in my tags, because why would someone else read my tags that closely, but it brings me joy in a particular way with him.

8. So Bucky is a secret agent, sort of, so he has a secret job he can't talk about!! And sometimes this makes him an unreliable friend.

He faked his own death so he could go hunt down KGB sleeper agents, that kind of thing.

He did insist on telling Steve, specifically, that he wasn't dead, but… still kind of a dick move.

(I don’t want to derail your plurk talking about my own character, but I love throwing in references to obscure book lore that has some kind of overall deeper meaning to the current storyline in my own tags, but it’s the same thing, IDK if anyone else will ever pick up on it! But it’s still fun to put that stuff there in case someone does.)

9. This kind of depends? On the Avengers he was the Responsible One who wanted everyone to do chores. Back when he was younger, he was the troublemaking comic relief. It's been a journey.

He remains funnier than Steve Rogers.

10. Probably not. Like, Bucky will kill, steal, and lie for his friends but those aren't really things "against his principles." During the whole "Steve Rogers is a secret fascist" plotline, though, Bucky refused to also be a fascist. He also hasn't gone along with any of Namor's destroy the surface world schemes.

The one exception is when he idiotically re-brainwashed himself to try to save Natasha.

BUT that was not a friend asking for help, that was a bad guy giving an ultimatum, so, totally different.
