As always, things I have read/want to read and am thinking about this month. Links are not always endorsements, discussion is welcome.
the illnesses link: HELLA
and the "stop trying to be productive": also yes
a friend of mine who works at a major media organization had a colleague say to her, "we are not working from home. We are attempting to work in a time of crisis and trauma."
that is a hell of a reframe and one I endorse
I have the The Lady’s Handbook for Her Mysterious Illness actual book but haven't read it yet.
yeah. mine is migraine, which we sort of have some meds for? a little? maybe?
but like, lollerskates, who knows what causes them, they're a mystery, take this drug for epilepsy maybe it'll help
it's a story we've all heard before but it's a good reminder that this continues to be fucked up
and that even apologizing + taking down the photos doesn't actually stop the harassment
it's an imperfect solution but there are states now where that is a crime
posting the photos, I mean
so at least there is some kind of repercussions for doing the thing

I actually got a kinfolk collection for my mom for her birthday lmao
"Still Life" is a real tearjerker you have been warned
what is kinfolk, I'm curious
it's a pretentious lifestyle magazine, very aesthetic
of course it would be mormons
By September 2012, Kinfolk was selling tens of thousands of copies per issue at a cover price of $18. EIGHTEEN DOLLARS?????
it's like the essence of fancy restaurants
tbf their issues were p big
