This spring there's good anime so I'm back to my weeb bullshit. I'll continue Eizouken, I've started Arte (which looks amazing! look at my cute daughter!), continuing Furuba: Electric Boogaloo (Manabe and Machi!), and tried the otome villainess transmigration anime (fun so far)
I cannot recommend Arte enough. to my Akayona mutuals: if you like Yona as a protagonist, you'll love Arte too. hell, she's chopping her hair off dramatically on chapter 1
I'm following the manga and it's lovely. she's lovely. the characters are great and she has friendships with so many female characters which is refreshing
it's about this teenage girl in Renaissance Florence who doesn't want to play the nobility and marrying off game and only wants to paint, so she leaves home to become an artisan apprentice in a small workshop with a stoic-serious-but-sweet-inside kind of master
the otome villainess anime shapes up great. an otaku girl dies and transmigrates as the snobby asshole villain of an otome game she played and remembers everything when she as the character was 8
and since in all routes she ends up exiled or dead, she starts to change herself and the attitude and relationships with the route characters to minimize red flags
"so I have earth powers. I need to get better at magic and swordsmanship so I don't get killed off! how do I commune with earth? [Japanese girl with farmer granny logic] I'LL JUST FARM VEGETABLE CROPS IN MY MANSION'S YARD, YES"
the last part of the episode was playing out like Frozen until Catarina broke the door with an axe basically singing IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A DIRTMAAAAAN
