yeah assurance seems to be for stuff you have bad stats in mainly

especially since the most frequent time i roll it has a compensation on a failed roll

I think it's for stuff where you have a lot of frequent checks with low static dc

i only did because that magic guide you linked talks about incapacitate sucking a lot, so i went and looked it up

in the future, color spray could be worth heightening just to get around this, but it's pretty much the death knell for charm

i'll wait til next level to swap it out though, since i already made significant use of it last session
