: Pain-wise, I'm way better today. But one of the cuts looks much worse than it has since I got it.

Is this normal healing, or should I be worried?

What my mom made me do when I got a bad cat scratch was make up a big bowl of water as hot as I could stand, mix in a bunch of epsom salt and submerge the wounds in it for about 10 minutes.

She was a registered nurse and what it would do was allow the wounds to drain and get out any infection that was in them.

: That's a really good idea. Where does one get epsom salts?

Drugstore or grocery in bathing supplies or foot care aisle usually

Yeah, pretty much.

Once you're done with the soak, pat your arm dry. It's going to get rid of the scabs, but just let them breathe.

Welp. Reaching for something, I managed to tear the scab off. I dabbed away the ooze and put the bacitracin on it, so hopefully that solves that.

Oh, yeah. Forgot that part. Neosporin or something AFTER you pat it dry.

It's been about 20 years since I got those cat scratches, after all.

Yeah, the doctor gave me the good shit topical, and this is the first time the cut was open, so hopefully it'll make a big difference.

^ Good advice up there. And definitely keep up with the bacitracin.
