Unpopular DW/RP opinion because I need something to complain about:

People who complain about "cliques" and "circlejerks" and "insular roleplay" are jerks.

If someone prefers to tag certain people and not you, you need to build a ladder and climb over that shit. Because not everyone meshes with everyone, and not everyone's going to like you, and not everyone has unlimited time to play with every single person in every single game.

While I'm here, I also think anon HMDs and anon communities are more space for nastiness, and if I find out an RPer likes either, I think less of them.

We're most of us entering our 30s and 40s. Time to learn to communicate and practice radical acceptance.

This may not be that unpopular an opinion anymore but it sure as shit was when I still played in games, and it made me miserable to be around people like this.

RP should be about expanding and exploring personal interest, not catering to people who feel you aren’t giving them enough attention.

Which is thoroughly off-putting, tbh. The last people I was interested in tagging were people who complained I was spending too much time tagging what I enjoyed.

Step one: find someone you enjoy tagging.
Step two: proceed with tagging.
Repeat this process with a different person of failure is encountered.

...tbh the more I understand about myself and how my brain ticks, the more I comprehend why I got very invested in the good good shit I had going and not so invested in the halfhearted or just not as interesting RP. I’m not “insular”, I just can’t devote brain processes to too many things at once.
Yeah I'm dealing with that. Fixating on one thing and not others which means no attention
