so friday is my monday, I get in, I am told:

» our manager is transferring to another state, effective that day (???)

» I am now working the closing shift (note: I am working the same hours, but we're just closing early because someone on the closing shift was exposed to COVID, so now we who work the busiest hours of the day also have to do all the closing stuff, and also yikes)

today:

» during the course of my shift two of my coworkers were informed they'd been exposed so they had to leave in the middle of the shift (and also not come back for two weeks)

» we closed even earlier than previously planned because of this

» I have no idea how we're supposed to stay open?? but we also have… no manager.

» also feeling like I've probably been exposed if half the people who work my shift were, ahhhhhhhhh

yeah and meanwhile of course we're severely understaffed and customers are demanding as ever and we aren't allowed to say "sorry everyone at this store is sick maybe don't come here "

if they were exposed and actively working with you, you've all definitely been exposed as well. i'd wave a hand at management and go "get your shit together, we've all been exposed"
