They originally made him super hard to get, but finally made him way more accessible today.

!! Finally some place Tron gets to 1. exist and 2. be happy!
I know, right! Tron deserves so many good things!
Also, his computer animation cracks me up.
The ultimate paradox of the premise:
it's computers all the way down
All computers all the time! XD
It's hard to get a good screenshot, but Tron's death animation is adorable.
...jfdslkjkagjf Quorra has a light-ribbon
do non-Tron characters do that when they charge or is it only her?
I see "KO" down there -- ICly, is the loss considered a death or a knockout?
That's a really good question. I'm not sure. You can win if multiple characters are knocked out, but you get less points if any are knocked out. Some modes have it where if characters are knocked out, you can't use them again or until you revive them. And, one timed mode has a 2 minute knockout timer.
I don't think the story so far has mentioned knockout, but it's been a while since I've seen the early story and I haven't gotten to the later story.
I think Wreck-It Ralph had some concerns, maybe? And, the story had characters turned into digital zombies, but they were fixed in-story.
If I see anything concrete, I'll let you know!
Huh!

So they're definitely disabled in some way and may have to be actively revived/restored.
(I'd love to see a breakdown of those mechanisms vs the "dying is only impermanent inside your own game" thing from the WiR movies. Maybe in this case it's everyone's game so they all come back. XD)
Yeah! ^_^ At least in some game modes. I was thinking more on it, and outside of the game modes, your character roster doesn't have health or anything, but I don't know how that counts.
(Oh my gosh, yes. It's handled pretty strangely in game, like it starts with Ralph and Vanellope getting a key for a game beta, but then the Incredibles are there and Elastigirl is put off by Ralph saying that it's a game. Some of the missions indicate that the WiR characters can go back to their games, but then like, Calhoun and Felix live in this game???
I don't think other characters can leave, and they're making changes - Flynn has multiple arcade locations, Quorra used one to make a library, stuff like that. I think the story has the characters trying to find a way out, the WiR characters know about cheat codes and stuff, so they've sorta taken the lead there.)
Quorra has a library omu
Y E S it's adorable! She has friendship missions with EVE from WALL-E and their whole thing is about putting together a library. ^_^ She gets some of the other characters to write books for it. Belle gives her the book she talks about in the movie, Woody writes a picture book about being with Andy, and Flynn writes a book about the Grid and ISOs.
There's so many cute things in this game, it's great <3
infiniteviking: Oh! I missed one of your questions earlier, whoops. The light ribbon is just Quorra's thing, she starts out the fight on her light cycle and drives into the enemies before fighting like everybody else. XD
VROOM
Got a little bit better screenshot of dead!Tron.
awwwwww he's all slumped and sad XD;;;;
Who's the purple person in the upper right-ish?
XD So sad! XD It's so adorable! XD
The one in the robe and the helicopter are game-only enemies called Creeps, I'm not sure of their individual names, there's a bunch of enemies they made just for the game. If I come across their names, I'll let you know!
Huh! I feel like they would fit in in the '82 system.
Yeah, I can totally see it!
Looks like the robed one is Purple Mage and the helicopter is Purple Hoverbot.
I glanced at Tron's icon and I just noticed his adorable neck circuits.
I see his poor baggy eyes, Tron needs a nap.
Awww, he does! Alas, a Program's work is never done.
