i'm running a call of cthulhu campaign online except for one person who lives with me; we don't use roll20 because there's less need in this tabletop, but i'm happy to answer general questions about it or share what i've learned/other resources i use!!

i also have HUGE dm/gm anxiety, but we've done...maybe 5-10 sessions since we started in march, which helps

does everyone use voice chat?

my usual group uses disco video chat and then Roll20 for the game stuff! though we usually only use it for token/map stuff

but my secondary group uses Roll20's video function which also works p well!

(i kinda prefer using the Roll20 video/voice because then only the DM can do random music stuff and nobody can use dumb filters)

but Roll20 has like.... nine hundred tutorials and videos to help you learn!

we actually use google meet for video chat, but discord and roll20 i think also work great, particularly since you're using the latter and could then see video/the map at the same time

i stream my audio through twitch, but - again, you're using roll20 and can use their audio player, which is nice

i also use Tabletop Audio - Premium Ambient Audio which is FANTASTIC
