Transcribe 10 pages of Dawn of the Future

Sew more on niece's sweater

(Cut the little part of the kitty's ear on the pocket and move it, because I don't quite like where I sewed it down)

Worksheets done, so I think I'll keep doing a few more!

Anyway, got ten pages done and then a few more

So that's done on my list!

I need to re-read the first part because I may have accidentally done a "find and replace" all on something, just need to check for typoes

Aaand re-read up to the start of page seven after to check for any of those typoes

Have to remember where to start tomorrow

They do deserve it. Do you think this will be a big seller if/when people find it?

The braille version? Nah

I think about 5% of people who have lost their sight can read braille right now, and I don't know what percent of them play games

However, I want to increase literacy

And part of that means having stuff available to read so it's not just classics and children's books that are available

So if it was just one person or something that wanted it, that's cool

Yeah, unfortunately literacy is low and a lot of people aren't encouraging more because they figure, "Oh, well, there's screen readers / audiobooks now"

But those hardly cover everything

Imagine trying to do calculus if you can't read

OK, I failed on the sewing bit but got everything else done yesterday!

Well, maybe I'll focus on a re-read first to make sure a replace-all didn't cause any errors in stuff I already did

Do you have any issues with copyright? Is that why there are less materials available?

There's a law that let's you transcribe anything if you make sure that the people who get it are blind or visually impaired. Bookshare is a site that works with that

But it makes it harder for someone like me because I have no real way to check IDs or something

So I can transcribe if I want, but I will contact SquareEnix about possibly publishing officially so there's no issues

I would love to know how that goes

I still think that's amazing

I hope it goes well

I'd offer to transcribe other books of theirs too

I was a bit sick of working on that book lol

So I'll start another book tomorrow
