[work] I FINALLY got a new job. After years of swearing I was going to do it, and the place I worked at for 13 years only getting more toxic, I found work at another animal hospital.
I didn't officially quit my last job until yesterday, but I started work at the new place on the 7th. So between working 3 days at the new place, and 3.5 at the old place, I've been on the go 7 days a week for 2 weeks. My first official day off it tomorrow. I AM SO TIRED.
I'm enjoying the new place a lot! So far I don't feel like I'm working with any negative people, and the manager is actually a manager. He told me if there's a problem, then lets talk it through. (My old manager did JACK. She wanted to be everyone's friend and hated when the coworkers talked back- which she should've stopped)
The new manager is cool. On my working interview he showed up wearing a pink dress shirt and on a skateboard. He identifies as punk. Strangely, he's the only male in the place; he's married to one of the doctors. Everyone else is female.
I used to like where I worked. But the manager and the boss both stopped caring and their favorites (we did have faves despite what our boss told us) knew this, so the three current ones are getting away with murder. And whenever they make a mistake, they don't own up to it, and always blamed ME.
Because I'm nice. And they'd always do it behind my back or whenever I didn't work. Because I'm a hard worker, my manager took advantage of me and made me work up front every weekend. I always did the majority of the work, finances, phone calls, while she got to slack off or chat with our clients. She thought I left because of money. NO to the NOPE
