this year I feel like I've gamed a lot but at the same time I haven't gamed enough, if that makes sense?
probably because I fell into the Animal Crossing rabbit hole and that was all I could play during my time working on my thesis. I was very steadfast until summer then I basically lost interest
and what broke the camel's back was the dumbest thing, which was me being incapable of catching 2 rare stags and then the summer ended, and after 2-3 weeks of time traveling to find them and failing, that did it
not to mention my storage is full and my inventory is often full too, and I'm too lazy to clean up. so I've only done like a week and a half of Halloween shit
incidentally, ACNH made my joycons drift. I ended up getting cheap knockoffs and a cheap pro controller too, so whatever
I poked my head in for 2 days for Halloween stuff and got distracted by other games again fff
funny you say that since there's the next topic: HADES
Also I started getting drift with AC too weirdly. But then I tested it on another game to see if it was the same, went back to AC and it seems to have fixed itself??
that's literally all I've played in the last month. I love that game! even if I only do one run a day
anuran: huh, never heard of that happening before. mine were drifting even at the switch menu so were very much fucked
but yeah, the cute animal game is a controller destroyer
back to Hades, it kind of sucks for ny backlog because while working on my thesis I kept treating myself and getting new games for when I was free, and now I have all these cool games waiting for me and getting dust lmao
FF7R is still in its plastic, I did play some DQ11S before sexy funny Greek gods happened
the more oof one was LUIGI'S MANSION 3 which I planned TO PLAY ON HALLOWEEN MONTH. oops!
but yeah, I can play Hades for an hour a day which is 35-40 min of hitting things and then doing my social links, so it's nice
besides, November is almost here and I'm extremely HYPED for Age of Calamity
man, I missed new Zelda, even if it's a spinoff /hides the poor forgotten Cadence of Hyrule in the back of her switch menu
I was also hyped this year for all the BotW clones that were coming out, but now I feel... weird after seeing what they're like. Genshin Impact being a F2P gacha was a kick in the balls, man
I would MUCH rather pay full price and even the rare 5* characters as DLC than having to farm for pull currency with dumb tasks or logging in daily (or god forbid paying real money)
Immortals Fenyx Rising actually looks good to me, and I'm a slut for trying mythology based games as you guys know, but there's one shadow over it: Ubisoft
I was moderately hyped and planning to buy it during a sale, but there's something that's happening now that doesn't sit well with me
so Ubi has been sponsoring youtubers into trying the stadia demo, and that's fair. but after seeing 2 "first impressions" videos by guys I follow. and both dudes are the type to be dropping truth bombs when they don't like something, mind you, but the reviews are...
they don't say anything negative right off the bat in their videos. you can tell they're holding in. the praises feel stiff too. one even avoided namedropping BotW even though you knew he almost brought it up. like, it's painfully obvious Ubi paid them to shut up or went through the script
so now I'm feeling cynical and doubt this game can even be good if they had to resort to buying youtubers
(the characters also feel a bit eeeeeh after how vibrant and spectacular they are in Hades)
you know what successful game of 2020 I do want to eventually get when it's cheaper tho? Ghost of Tsushima. I'll suck at it, but it looks beautiful and it seems delightful
another game I'm excited about and I hope is good is The Pathless. I think it's coming up next month too?
and last thing in my rant: I think I'm not buying the Pokémon DLC. legendary hunt and dex completion is always a chore to me, so it just doesn't draw me in
I did, however, get a dragonite and an altaria in raids yesterday, since you don't need the pass to join Tundra raids. so when I stop being lazy and finish this fic, I COULD try to shiny hunt for those lines with Masuda
anyway, I'm distracting my anxiety and my three stacked depressions by not playing enough video games and reading gay cnovels
oh, I forgot! Kirimuses! from the mentioned games, the characters I feel I might I've played or considered making an account for kicks would've been lazyboy Hypnos, absolutely Venti Genshin Impact from the wiki article and few chapters of backstory manhua I read, and maaaybe Sylvando
the chaotic energy of these boys
I would love to RP with a Sylvando :3c
I still don't know if he's one of mine but I like him a lot. I'm not very advanced in the game to tell yet. but that whole "I want to make people smile" motivation might be
I'm in the Venice-based city and going to help this kid as an ongoing quest to get the doge to help us
OH ALSO. PSN was already the Worst wishlist wise (i.e, they didn't send you email notifs when something was on sale like Steam and eShop). But it had wishlists. They removed them altogether lately and that sucks enormously
