some context: I have an old laptop for my personal bullshit, but in the last few months it's been very weird. if I moved it at all, and that included the slight Newtonian force of typing or using the touchpad, the screen would turn off for a few seconds

right now it hasn't been doing it that much, assumimg we're on a solid surface, but some keys are harder to press now as old keyboards do. infamously, the ‘ accent key, which any Latinx or Spanish speaker can tell is a BIG YIKES when that's your native language

so until I find a new laptop I like, I've been unplugging my cheap office USB keyboard and plugging it in, which brings a small inconvenience as I have to unplug and plug on the desktop PC from work in the morning

so anyway, I don't even have to use my computer to write fic if I don't want to move from my bed and the blankets. I can just use my tablet or phone now!

or even the laptop itself by just putting it on a robust tray I have. since the keyboard is tiny and light, it should be easier to position around. maybe

still, I managed to binge write fic for two days with it. I didn't notice that design flaw until it was time to add an html tag
