"To be fleshed out later" lol
But I want to get to all the juicy stuff around it
Placeholders are just fine! Just keep writing, writing, writing!
Yeah, maybe make some quick notes about what you want to happen during the battle?
I can figure it out later
Had to get to some of the dialogue between characters while I have it strongly in my head
Actually got skeletons for a few different scenes today
Do you think 50k will be enough to finish this book??
Especially because it's more like 6 books or something
I'm just writing stuff about these characters and plopping them generally in the right spots on the timeline
I have been considering continuing on after nanowrimo
Because I think my current strategy is going well, of writing scenes that are strong in my mind
That is what makes a writer
And I can put them together at a later date and smooth things out
A writer is someone who sits down and, you know, does the thing with some degree of regularity
Also, I've only been writing on the "boy's side", basically, and I actually have a more in depth timeline for the girl's side of things
So I can switch over and work on that
I'm thinking when I'm done I could release each volume of each series at the same time, up until their series conjoin in the future
It's going to be so beautiful when it's finished
I know so
Aand setting up actual mafia/yakuza-like folks who think they're hilarious when they're kids trying to act like tough guys
That section will be fun to flesh out later
Basically focuses on the continuously cussing hyperactive volatile friend being super worried that other friend is missing
Ends with other friend realizing they spent all their money and risked their lives to get him free. He has real friends~
/starts sticking in chapter headings to separate all the parts he's written
I have index cards anyway
Need to print out some tabs and I can start organizing the parts I've written into, "Book 1" "Book 2", "Book 3", "Book ??"
Ohhh are you keeping physical copies of what you write?
Just for the timeline stuff
As I get more random bits written out I need to figure how to sort them
Need an easy way where I can figure, "OK, I'll move this scene over here"
Move them around as needed, especially since we're talking writing that will go into several different books
That makes sense. Not everything is easier digitally
Yeah, I was looking for programs but I think this might work better
I use ywriter7 for that kind of thing. It's free.
If this doesn't work out I may try it
I'd kind of like something where I could write a piece, have it sort of be it's own thing on a timeline, and easy to move around, but also I can just view the story as a whole with everything placed in order :|a
Not sure if something like that exists though
I think I remember ywriter or at least a version of it about 10 years ago. There was a learning curve. But hopefully it's useful!
