the really fun anecdote is that one person who was a former employee of one of these data collection companies being like "oh yeah we could totally deanonymize the location data, track specific phones, and in fact fellow employees would just do this for fun sometimes"

which reminds me of all the NSA agents who got caught spying on their significant others

by tracking their phones
