XQC is a toxic shitter who was notorious (but popular) in the Overwatch community. He got tossed from his Overwatch League team for some homophobic shit, and was recently banned for a week from Twitch for cheating in a Fall Guys tournament, of all things.

I kind of believe when you’re a public figure running an event like that, it’s the responsibility of you or your people to do a cursory glance at the history of those participating, lest you’re platforming and legitimizing people who shouldn’t be.

Like I say that as someone who genuinely likes AOC and the causes she backs. Stuff like that can be damaging in the long term and she doesn’t need to give people avenues of attack.
