there's been this whole drama for a few months because apparently he cheated on one of his recent speedruns and since he has a fanbase of like 15 million it's just like, exploded beyond the relatively niche minecraft speedrunning community
for awhile it was unclear whether he had actually cheated or not and he put out this wholeass response video with his own math, but actual mathematicians ripped it to shreds
i'm not all that familiar with the world of speedrunning and suchall so this reminds me of that guy who cheated his donkey kong high score and then lied about it for decades
the common argument i see is that "why would dream cheat for a fifth place speedrun" but this video points out that he would have placed first if yet another random number hadn't happened against him
