Indikon: I can't wait to dig in! I pre-ordered it in August and it was originally due out in September so I've been waiting ages. Doesn't seem to have many pictures, though. ☹️

I remember seeing it when you mentioned it before. Shame about the pictures though! If you need a picture fix, the catalogue exhibition from the British Library’s Anglo Saxon exhibition is excellent. Also very interesting & with a balance of pictures and text is Christopher de Hamel’s Remarkable Manuscripts.

I think I have the remarkable manuscripts book on my iPad so I can cross-reference. I'll check out the British Library stuff though.

I bought the catalogue before going to the exhibition, and I don’t regret going, because seeing things in the flesh is different, but looking at things in glass cases in the semi-darkness in a crowd has some disadvantages compared to being nice and relaxed at home with plenty of light.

It’s all writing, and not elaborate, but I really like the Exeter book. I’d love to be able to get a facsimile of that. I know they’ve been working on digitising it, so I hope it’ll be made public.
