8. Where and when do they seem most and least at ease? Why? How can you tell?
Most at ease: on or around horses. They've always been an important part of his life and he associates them with freedom.
He has always (as Lawrence, at least) felt trapped by the circumstances of his life (poor, a minority), and horses offer a physical and monetary escape from that. Least at ease: fancy party. Just wasn't programmed for them.
How can you tell? It's very obvious in Lawrence's posture and facial expression when he's at ease and when he isn't.
10. What energizes and drains them most?
He's energized by being around other people who have forceful personalities and strong ambitions and crazy plans. He's drained by situations that make him feel stupid: concepts he can't grasp or being unable to explain himself.
15. What kind of inner life do they have — rich and imaginative? Calculating and practical? Full of doubts and fears? Does it find any sort of outlet in their lives? He's very practical. He has simply never had the kind of life that allows for fantasy, other than a vague wish for: something better.
He was programmed to doubt himself; to think he wasn't good enough for his wife; that no matter what he does he'll always be small time. He still thinks that way, but now he has SO MANY fears related to being a robot. He deals by drinking (or: does not deal at all).
23. How do they respond to difficult social moments? What makes them consider a social situation difficult? Fairly well, actually. It's part of his programming to be a good listener (like a bartender!) and he has kept that.
He really only considers something difficult if he truly can't wrap his mind around it. So like: meeting El Lazo 2.0 or the scene in the bar when William told him he was a tour guide. He was very quiet, but he was listening.
25. What do they need and want out of relationships, and how do they go about getting it?
SOmEtHinG ReAl. Welcome to Westworld. He wants to feel known and understood. He wants to feel a connection, and know that the other person sees him as real and a person, not a thing or a means to an end.
He does also want some amount of excitement. See: not the domestic type. He doesn't go about getting this particularly: "life" has always brought these kinds of people to him, so he just sort of lets them come.
30. What is their preferred level of activity and stimulation? How do they cope if they get either too little or too much?
A LOT. No such thing as too much. He's used to being on the run all time, and he gets very itchy feet if he's in one place for too long.
The Barge is driving him a little bit crazy. As usual he deals by drinking; throwing self preservation to the wind; stealing horses.
william's sorry he can't stimulate him more
38. Is there anything they wish they could change about their worldview or thought processes? What, and why?
A part of him wishes he could see the beauty in the world and capacity for good in people more than he does (he can see a glimmer). Another part wishes he couldn't see any of of these things at all.
Thought process: he definitely wishes he could think more quickly; more outside the box. Good news is: that's adjustable!
As for why? It just seems...nice not to know what lurks in the hearts of men, you know? On the other hand: easier to take out an asshole.
40. What do they wonder about? What sparks their curiosity and imagination, and why? How is this expressed, if it is?
The real world. He has almost romanticized it at this point, except he's not imaginative enough to picture it. He wants to know about it and see it so desperately, because: what if he could just slip into it?
Be a real man with his very own real life?
He asks people about it, but in his mind William's world is the only real real world. He has to cling to the little scraps of information William lets slip.
"william's sorry he can't stimulate him more"

...it's fine he'll just do...something stupid.
