10, 11, 16, 24, 25, 34, breach or classic as you wish!
10. Is your character street-smart, book-smart, intelligent, intellectual, slow-witted?
Lawrence is street smart and more intelligent than he's been programmed to believe he is.
Breach Lawrence (Pedro) is book smart, intelligent, and intellectual.
11. How do they see themselves: as smart, as intelligent, uneducated?
Lawrence sees himself as uneducated, and (particularly since becoming sentient): slow witted.
Pedro sees himself as intelligent, but he feels he can't draw attention to himself by displaying it in any way.
16. What does your character do for a living? How do they see their profession? What do they like about it? Dislike?
Lawrence does nothing for a living and that's how he likes it, honestly. He's never actually had a job, he's just done crime.
And he dislikes when they catch him and hang him and that's it. He doesn't see the appeal in honest work.
Pedro was a doctor (small town, general practice, he sort of did everything except major surgery). Now he does odd jobs. It's a blow to his ego, but he's doing it to give his sister a better life. He doesn't mind physical labor and people mostly leave him alone, so that's fine.
24. What social groups and activities does your character attend? What role do they like to play? What role do they actually play, usually?
Lawrence attends: gangs. And: orgies. He takes a leadership role, unless a guest shows any inclination, then he falls back and follows them; helps them achieve leadership/heroism
He doesn't like or dislike either. On the Barge he's more comfortable following.
Pedro attends: hanging out in the tiny shitty apartment he has with his sister with the door locked and the curtains drawn. He's in a leadership role with her, follower with everyone else, which he hates because a lot of the people he has to obey now are idiots.
25. What are their hobbies and interests?
Lawrence doesn't really have any hobbies and could use some. His interests include: horses, booze, guns, cards, sex, revolution, and money
Pedro doesn't have time or the ability to pursue many hobbies anymore, but he likes cars, and used to tinker on them, nothing particularly impressive. He also cooks, which he enjoys doing with his sister so they can share something from back home.
34. Does your character feel self-righteous? Revengeful? Contemptuous?
Yes.
...lol, Lawrence feels all these things and also more things? He doesn't identify his self-righteousness as such; to him he's just right. He really has a lot of anger inside of him, and it's festering beneath his chill surface.
Pedro feels contempt towards anyone who looks down on him, but he's not going to do anything about it.
19. What were your character’s deepest disillusions? In life? What are they now?
So get this: Lawrence used to think he was a real 19th century human guy out west. Crazy.
He was also extremely disillusioned about William in general because first of all: saw him as a god-like figure, and second of all: a real friend; someone he could trust/worth trusting. That has swung back around on the Barge. Not the god part though, sorry.
Pedro is a little disillusioned by America and Americans in general, but that's pretty much it.
he made his warden fall through a crack in space-time!!
Yeah but. Lawrence could still shoot him.
true.....though we haven't tried that yet
30. Are they holding on to something in the past? Can he or she forgive?
Lawrence: mmmm the whole being used as part of a game for a bunch of assholes. Can he forgive. That's a no so far.
Pedro: his parents were murdered, and he had to run away and leave everything he knew behind. Can't forgive but working on moving on.
41. Is your character aware of who they are? Strengths? Weaknesses? Idiosyncrasies? Capable of self-irony?
Lawrence: yes and no. He's obviously aware he's a robot now, but he doesn't actually have a complete grasp on what that means. He still feels like a "person", and he's just co-opted robots as, like, a race.
He's aware of some of his strengths, but again: underestimates intelligence/ability to think for himself. He over emphasizes his weaknesses. He's able to take or make a joke at his own expense.
Pedro is very aware of who he is and goes to great lengths to hide it/make himself as invisible as possible.
42. What does your character want most? What do they need really badly, compulsively? What are they willing to do, to sacrifice, to obtain?
Lawrence wants to live in the real world like a real person and he's willing to kill all humans to get it.
Pedro wants his sister to grow up and have a good normal life without having to look over her shoulder all the time, and he was willing to give up literally everything he had for the chance at this.
50. What are the prevailing facial expressions? Sour? Cheerful? Dominating?
Lawrence's is a smirk, but it's not always cheerful. Pedro keeps it pretty blank.
what are pedro's views on horses
Pedro has no feelings on horses either way. He does like dogs though.
