I've gotta re-watch this episode again now because I'm pretty sure my heart was pounding in my ears too loudly for me to hear half the dialogue.

FJkdsk LORD just goes to show just how much this episode was afterwards but I absolutely lost it at Yang having a "WHAT THE FORK ARE WE EVEN DOING?" moment.

That's seriously impressive.

I'm...not 100% sure that'll work again because I get the feeling Salem's gonna do her damndest to fix that particular chink in her armor but it's amazing nonetheless.

Congrats on blowing up Salem, Yang, you stunned her for like all of 5 seconds but still, gold star for you.

Like on first watch, you're like, "Oh, is Hazel stammering because he let Oscar go?" but then you get the reveal later that it was Oscar the whole time. So on a re-watch, this is even more hilarious.

Because it's just Emerald standing there like, "Oh. My. God. I'm going to die because this small child can't come up with a simple lie. Oh my god."

ALSO, I'm loving that Emerald's sass about, "Yeah, and I know the way out." is really funny on the surface level, but it really says something that not only does she immediately deflect somebody's introspection about her current feelings BUT that she feels she has to make herself sound "useful" for the group to want to keep her around.

I can't wait to see her grow emotionally from that when she joins a group of people that will value her because she's her and not because she's "useful" or whatever because yes. Yes please.
