Coming back to this late because I was watching RWBY with a friend, but I actually met my boyfriend through RP and we've been together 9 years! I also met my now adopted sister and we've been living together for 10. I've met some of my best friends through this hobby, people who have been with me through my highs and lows

and believed in me even when I couldn't believe in myself. I've been able to meet some of them face to face thanks to Sakuracon and made such amazing memories both through RP and through those meetings. For whatever drama there can be in the community it always feels vastly outweighed by the good, and the fun we all have together.

This past year especially, even when our drives were tanked because of that lovely little thing called Covid, I feel like I still managed to get closer to a lot of people because we were all in it together, using RP as a way to look away from the dumpster fire that we were in for a while.
